New Build Houses
We were asked to design four new houses to replace two 1950’s houses on a steeply sloping site on the edge of Hampstead Heath.
The local authority were keen that the development maintain the appearance of only two houses, so we designed the development as two separate buildings. Each house has three storeys plus basement, and takes advantage of the sloping site. This approach has also enabled us to provide greater floor area than would have been possible with four separate buildings.
The contemporary design was informed by the character of the surrounding buildings, with the master bedrooms in penthouse-type top floors.
Construction is currently underway on site, and we aim to provide light airy interiors at these four/five bedroom houses ranging in size from 2,300 to 3,300 sq.ft.
